The NATO Academy 2020 lecture on NATO and the role of the NATO Liaison Office in Skopje with Col. Zoran Jankovic, Chief of the NATO Liaison Office in Skopje was held on 11th of November 2020 (Wednesday). Due to the current situation caused by the COVID – 19 pandemic, and in line with the government and health official’s recommendations, this lecture was held online via the ZOOM platform.

The Euro-Atlantic Council of Macedonia in cooperation with the Atlantic Council of Bosnia & Herzegovina will host NATO Advanced Research Workshop (ARW) entitled: “Practical Applications of Advanced Technologies for Enhancing Security and Defense Capabilities: Perspectives and Challenges for Western Balkans” supported by NATO Science for Peace Program (NATO SPS). The ARW will take place in Ohrid (Republic of North Macedonia) from 03.09.2020 to 06.09.2020.

North Macedonia is finally a full member of the Alliance, upon depositing its instrument of accession to the North Atlantic Treaty with the US State Department in Washington DC on 27th of March 2020. NATO Allies signed North Macedonia’s Accession Protocol in February 2019, after which all 29 national parliaments voted to ratify the country’s membership.
