Within the project organized on the NATO Strategic Concept 2010 “Post-Lisbon: New NATO for the New Era – Strategic Concept 2010” the Euro-Atlantic Council of Macedonia  organized a NATO SUMMIT STUDENT simulation for the students at the universities in the Republic of Macedonia.

The Euro-Atlantic Council of Macedonia as a continuation of its work on the Strategic Concept 2010 adopted at the NATO Lisbon Summit has taken on realisation of activities for the post-Lisbon debate. Therefore, EACM organizes round table under the title:

From 3 to 5 December 2010 delegation of the Euro-Atlantic Council of Macedonia (EACM) led by the president Lazar Elenovski will take part in the international conference “The New Strategic Concept and NATO towards 2020” which is being held in Antalya, Turkey at the invitation of the Atlantic Council of Turkey.

In line with the global security debate for the NATO Strategic Concept which was adopted at the Alliance Lisbon Summit, the Euro-Atlantic Council of Macedonia in the past year has taken several activities in order to give contribution to this process.

Today starts the Lisbon Summit of NATO, the largest security alliance in the history of humankind. It is a Summit which will see the adoption of the new Strategic Concept of the Alliance, which should determine the new role and the function of the Alliance in the globalized world in which the humankind lives in the 21st century.

The Euro-Atlantic Council of Macedonia promoted a paper "The Global Guardian" on NATO in the future, how should NATO face the global challenges and respond to the growing security pressure in the world.
