On the last day of April ATA / YATA Macedonia organized the last two events of the project "April the month of NATO." Posted by Yata Macedonia on Sunday, May 3, 2015 Bearing in mind that student conferences and other events of this type have proved successful and interesting for the students, the Euro-Atlantic Council of Macedonia through YATA Macedonia, on 30 April 2015 at ERA Centre in Skopje organized the fifth jubilee NATO Student Simulation on topic "NATO after the Wales Summit - Challenges and Perspectives". Posted by Yata Macedonia on Sunday, May 3, 2015 The simulation virtually represented a meeting of foreign ministers of NATO member countries, where the global problems and challenges from NATO Summit in Wales to date were discussed. The event had a great educational impact on students because they were given the opportunity to learn about the issues concerning NATO, security and international policy, as well as through practical examples to get acquainted with the way of functioning and decision-making process of the Alliance. Posted by Yata Macedonia on Sunday, May 3, 2015 As every year, and this time the Euro - Atlantic Council of Macedonia has brought many new moments on the student simulation. Besides the live broadcast, the chairman of the event was the Vice President of the World Youth, Mr. Robert Ivica Sushich. Also, at the end of the event, the prizes for the best written text / essay on topic “Macedonia and NATO in 2020" were awarded. First place (150 Euros) – Antoaneta Ristoska
Second place (100 Euros) – Ema Chiguljin Besides the cash prizes, the winners will have the opportunity to visit the NATO headquarters in Brussels and to discuss directly with senior officers of the Alliance. At the beginning of the simulation, prof. Metodi Hadzi Janev, Vice President of ATA Macedonia addressed the audience. Video addressing had Barbora Maronkova, the information officer for the Balkans from NATO Public Diplomacy Division and Jason Wiseman, the Secretary General of ATA. With their presence captain Rumen Radev, the head of NATO Office in Skopje and Anil Ozge Ertaj, counselor at the Embassy of the Republic of Turkey in Macedonia, NATO contact embassy, once again proved that NATO is a strong supporter of Macedonia ATA.
