| NATO and the International Humanitarian Law – call for participants |

With the intensification of the activities which are important for the integration of the country in NATO and the involvement of the Macedonian Armed Forces in different peace keeping missions throughout the world, the need for increased knowledge in International Humanitarian Law for all those who are dealing with the issues related to the NATO integrations, security and peace issues, becomes very important. In this light, Euro – Atlantic Council of Macedonia in cooperation with the Macedonian Red Cross will organize one day training for International Humanitarian Law, on the following topic: “NATO and the International Humanitarian Law” Despite the traditional part for the basics of IHL, the workshop will include challenges for IHL in contemporary context, especially the aspect of the peace keeping operations and countering terrorism. The training will be implemented by the top professors in this field of expertise, as well as representatives from the Euro – Atlantic Council of Macedonia and the Macedonian Red Cross. Time and Venue: The training will be held on 02.04.2013 (Tuesday) in the premises of the Macedonian Red Cross starting from 10h. The best essays will be published on the first Social Media Network for security in Republic of Macedonia, which will be officially started on 28th of March 2013.
