Atlantic Treaty Association held its regular spring meeting of ATA Council on 19-20 of June 2012 in Brussels. The Delegation of Euro – Atlantic Council of Macedonia (EACM) was led by President of EACM and Vice-president of ATA, Mr. Lazar Elenovski.

On the first day, official part of spring meeting of ATA Council was held at the ATA Headquarters. Main topic on this meeting were: NATO and the future of Afghanistan, NATO Partnerships, defense capabilities, NATO forces in 2020, challenges of Public Diplomacy after Chicago Summit, shape of the international security in 21^st century. At the evening, Gala dinner was held in presence of NATO Assistant Secretaty General Assistant for Public Diplomacy, Mrs. Kolinda Grabar Kitarovic.

Second day of the meeting was held at NATO HQ in Brussels, where representatives of ATA and YATA held briefing with Secretary General, Mr. Anders Fogh Rasmussen.

During the meeting of ATA Council, Mr. Lazar Elenovski presented the reports of work groups for ATA Social Network and Smart Defense initiatives by ATA. Both reports were unanimously approved for future development.

Also, from 17 to 20 of June 2012, Youth Atlantic Treaty Organization (YATA) held it Seminar for leadership and management. Afterwards, young representatives joined ATA Council meeting, where President of YATA Macedonia, Mr. Ilija Djugumanov presented the concept for creating YATA work group for South-East Europe, which was accepted positively by attending delegates.
