| 7th NATO Student Simulation |

Given the success and the large interest for the past student simulations and all events of its type in the country, the Euro-Atlantic Council of Macedonia organized the 7th NATO Student Simulation on the topic: "Macedonia in the eyes of NATO Brussels Summit". Participants at the simulation were students and young professionals who were adequately prepared for the simulation representing country members of NATO and media journalists. The simulation was opened by Mr. Ilija Djugumanov the President of the youth of the Euro-Atlantic Council (YATA Macedonia). Special guests that addressed the participants and wished them successful event were Dr. Bekim Maksuti, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Defence, Mr. Stevo Pendarovski, National Coordinator for NATO, Mr. Ismet Ramadani, President of the Euro-Atlantic Council of Macedonia and Navy Captain Rumen Radev, the Head of NATO Liaison Office in Skopje. Mr. Ismet Ramadani, President of ATA Macedonia, addressed the participants by accentuating the importance of youth involvement in euro-Atlantic integrative processes and the necessity of such activities for acquainting the youth with NATO values and ideas. He said that given the fact that youth is a driving force in building democracy, this event can help them to learn more about these processes. Dr. Bekim Maksuti, Deputy Minister of Defense, underlined that these kinds of events can bring many benefits for Euro-Atlantic intentions of Macedonia. He welcomed the new reforms implemented by the government in the domain of defense and security. Cap. Gorazd Bartol, Head of NATO Liaison Office in Skopje, he expressed his satisfaction of these type of activities that support NATO integrations. He encouraged the participants to go forward to express their views in order to learn more on NATO integrations. Dr. Stevo Pendarovski, Coordinator for NATO integration, outlined the purpose of the Brussels Summit and the activities and efforts that Macedonia undertake in the wake of the Brussels Summit. He introduced the students with the many aspects that the NATO integration implies and provided some tips for the participants and the issues that they would discuss during the simulation. The chairman of this year’s simulation was Ms. Juxhina Sotiri Gjoni from YATA Albania. The students discussed, debated and agreed on adoption of declaration during the simulation.
