From the period of 04th to 06th of June 2015, delegation from ATA Macedonia, has participated at the fifth To Be Secure Forum in Budva, under the title “Future Perspectives of a Global Security Architecture” which gathered around 400 high officials, distinguished scholars, experts from the field of security policy, journalists and young people from around the world.

Main topics of this year’s 2BS Forum were: integration of the Western Balkan countries through NATO enlargement, NATO-Russia partnership, foreign fighters as a growing threat, crisis in Ukraine, current terrorist threats, as well as threats to European security.

The delegation from the Euro-Atlantic Council of Macedonia (ATA Macedonia) was composed of: Mr. Ismet Ramadani, President of the Euro – Atlantic Council of Macedonia, Mr. Ilija Djugumanov, President of YATA Macedonia/Member of Presidency of the Euro – Atlantic Council of Macedonia and Mr. Sead Kochan and Tose Kocevski, members of the Business Club of the Euro – Atlantic Council of Macedonia. Representatives from YATA Macedonia were Mr. Ilija Kjiroski and Mr. Fisnik Mehmeti.

2BS Forum is an annual high-level conference dealing with global, transatlantic issues, as well as the issues in the South-Eastern Europe. Organizer of 2BS Forum is the Atlantic Council of Montenegro under the auspices of the Government of Montenegro, while traditional partners of the Forum are NATO and the U.S. Embassy in Podgorica.
The forum was officially opened by Dr. Savo KENTERA, President of the Atlantic Council of Montenegro, Mr. Ted WHITESIDE, Assistant Secretary General for Public Diplomacy, NATO, H.E. Mrs. Margaret Ann UYEHARA, U.S. Ambassador to Podgorica and H.E. Mr. Milo ĐUKANOVIĆ, Prime Minister of Montenegro as a key note speaker.

This year’s forum gathered numerous prominent guests such as ministers and ambassadors from the region, among others, the President of the Republic of Croatia, H.E. Mrs. Kolinda-Grabar Kitarović, first Deputy Prime Minister of Croatia, H.E. Mr. Filip VUJANOVIĆ, President of Montenegro, Mrs. Vesna Pusić, Mr. Ted Whiteside, Assistant Secretary General for NATO Public Diplomacy, H.E. Mr. Ivica DAČIĆ, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Serbia, OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, General John R. ALLEN, Special Presidential Envoy for the Global Coalition to Counter ISIL, U.S. Department of State, USA, Dr. Juliette BIRD, Head of Counter Terrorism Section, Emerging Security Challenges Division, NATO and many others.
