ATA Macedonia on a meeting with Dr. Zoran Jolevski, Minister of Defense of the Republic of Macedonia PDF Print E-mail

On 17.02.2015 (Tuesday) at 11:00 am, a delegation from the Euro-Atlantic Council of Macedonia (ATA Macedonia) led by President, Mr. Ismet Ramadani had a meeting with the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Macedonia, Dr. Zoran Jolevski.

At the beginning of the meeting great satisfaction for the successful cooperation between the two entities was expressed, which in the last period had resulted with an enormous benefit for the Republic of Macedonia. It was pointed out the mutual interest in further deepening and overall promotion of cooperation in various areas of mutual interest.

The main purpose of the visit was introducing the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Macedonia, with the possibility of organizing the General Assembly of the Atlantic Treaty Association in the country. Considering that this is the largest annual event of the Atlantic Treaty Association, this represents a great opportunity and recognition for the work of ATA Macedonia and where the final benefit will be directly in our country.

Given the fact that the Euro-Atlantic integration of the country is a matter of the highest strategic priority, Dr. Jolevski as a former member of the leadership of the ATA Macedonia expressed the great pleasure for the opportunity and gave the full support by the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Macedonia.

Moreover, Dr. Jolevski underlined the commitment to the young people from the country to have the opportunity to participate in future NATO summits, although we are not a NATO member country.

Among the other, at the meeting the commitments that the both sides are making towards integrating the country into full membership in NATO and the European Union was highlighted. It was specifically stated that the membership of our country in these structures remains a top priority.

Beside the president Ramadani, the delegation of ATA Macedonia was composed of Mr. Sead Kochan, Mr. Tose Kocevski and Mr. Ilija Djugumanov, members of the business club / presidency of the Euro-Atlantic Council of Macedonia.
