The 57th General Assembly of the Atlantic Treaty Association will take place in Tirana, Albania from 14 to 16th November.

ATA and Youth ATA delegates from 40 countries will gather for a three day Security Policy High Level Conference where the most pressing issues for transatlantic security and cooperation will be discussed with political, diplomatic and military representatives from different countries and institutions.

The General Assembly of the ATA is the highest level within ATA held once a year. In political terms, it is one of the largest security forums in the Atlantic world with participating global leaders, experts and the media.

This year the General Assembly theme “Tackling new Security challenges with Partners” will focus on five priority topics.

  1. Panel 1 – Beyond Afghanistan: the future of the International Coalition
  2. Panel 2 – NATO and EU strategic dialogue
  3. Panel 3 – Modern societies and cyber threats
  4. Panel 4 – The future of Partnerships in the Mediterranean and Middle East
  5. Special Session – The Future of Atlanticism: Civil Society perspective

The 57th General Assembly is organized by the Albanian Atlantic Council with the support of NATO Public Diplomacy and the Konrad Adenaur Stiftung. EACM will participate on the General Assembly with delegation.

The President Lazar Elenovski will be speaker in the second Panel - NATO and EU strategic dialogue
