Given the importance that the Department of Air units of the Ministry of Interior in the creation of security politics and maintenance of a stable security situation in the Republic of Macedonia, representatives of the youth of the Euro-Atlantic Council of Macedonia - YATA Macedonia, participated on the lecture on "The role of the police helicopter unit uses the security system of the Republic of Macedonia".

The lecture was held on 25.04.2013, 12:00 pm at the Training Centre - Idrizovo and was organized by the Research Centre for Security, Defense and Peace, in collaboration with the Helicopter unit "Hawks".

Besides the representatives of YATA Macedonia, the lecture was attended by students and associates of the Faculty for Security – Skopje, the Military Academy “General Mihailo Apostolski”.

After the introductory remarks, there were speeches and presentations from experts from the flight and technical stuff of the helicopter unit on the following topics:
•    History and creation of the Helicopter unit
•    Organization setup of the Helicopter unit
•    The use of the police aircrafts
•    The meaning of the Helicopter unit for increasing the efficiency in police work and the inclusion in some actions
