Euro – Atlantic Council of Macedonia more than one year works on the UNSRC 1325. For that purpose on 30.09.2013 (Monday) from 10:00 in the Hotel Stone Bridge in Skopje held conference entitled: “Implementation of UNSCR 1325: effective platform to overcome the existing challenges of the efforts to Macedonian contribution to world peace”. The conference was attended by representatives of state institutions, representatives of civil society, women's organizations, students and media. The conference was opened by the Vice President of the Euro - Atlantic Council of Macedonia, Mr Ismet Ramadani. He gave a brief introduction about the event and highlighted the long EACM work in this field. The second speaker at the opening was the State Secretary in the Ministry of Defence, Mr. Saso Stefanoski. He presented the work of the Ministry of Defense in this field, and the progress that should be developed further. The first session was closed by Prof. Dr. Metodi Hadzi Janev, where he gave a critical review of the implementation of UNSCR 1325 and transmitted his personal experiences in this field. On the second session of the conference the speakers were experts from the leading government institutions and representatives of the academic community. These panel speakers were: • Mr. Toni Stankovksi, Ministry of Interior The panel was moderated by Professor. Dr. Metodi Hadzi Janev. Panelists had the opportunity to present their achievements in their respective institutions. Also they presented the current situation regarding the involvement of women in the security structures, their duties, progress in this field, but also disadvantages that you need to work harder in the future. After exhaustion of rich discussion, Mr. Ismet Ramadani and prof. Dr. Metodi Hadzi Janev closed the conference.
