In the spirit of the Atlanticism, as a precursor of one of the priority projects of the Youth of the Euro- Atlantic Council of Macedonia (YATA Macedonia) that will follow up in the future, on 27^th and 29^th of March 2012 two lectures and workshops were held for the high school students in the Republic of Macedonia, on the subject: ‘’Euro- Atlantic ideas and values, the integration of the Republic of Macedonia and its contributions towards the global security’’.



This activity was realized in collaboration with the Gymnasium ‘’Orce Nikolov’’, and the organization, the lectures and the workshops were fully conducted by Ilija Dzugumanov, President of YATA Macedonia and the members of the Presidency of YATA Macedonija: Ilija Kirovski, Hristijan Despotovski, Simona Prlichkova, Veselinka Zlatkova and Bojana Naumoska.

The participants in the activity were the students od 3^rd and 4^th year of the Gymnasium “Orce Nikolov”, and it was conducted through presentations, discussions, questionnaires and other interactive methods implemented in the non- formal education.

The activity itself encountered huge interest and enthusiasm from the young students. Through the methods of presentation, an interaction was stimulated and a lot of questions were initiated. Through the evaluation after the activities, it was only concluded that the students are interested in these types of lectures.

With this step, we got closer to the young people, in order to check their knowledge, to find out about their interests and thoughts, that are from essential importance and present a direction towards organization, specialization and realization of our following projects and activities, connected to implementation of the Euro- Atlantic values in the education system of the Republic of Macedonia.
