ATA Council Meeting -2BS Forum, Budva Print

From the period of 28th to 31st of May 2014, delegation from ATA Macedonia, has participated at two important events held within the Atlantic Treaty Association.

The delegation from the Euro-Atlantic Council of Macedonia (ATA Macedonia) was led by Mr. Ismet Ramadani, President of the Euro – Atlantic Council of Macedonia. Mr. Ilija Djugumanov, President of YATA Macedonia/ Vice President for Communication of YATA International and Mr. Hristijan Despotovski, member of the presidency of YATA Macedonia, were representing the youth on these events.

First event was the annual ATA Spring Council Meeting, named “60th ATA Chapters Leadership Summit”. The Council Meeting had one working day on 28th of May 2014. It is the first time since its establishment that Summit is being held outside Brussels. The Summit was officially opened by Mr. Ranko Krivokapić, President of the Parliament of Montenegro and President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE), Dr. Karl A. Lamers, President of ATA and Dr. Savo Kentera, President of the Atlantic Council of Montenegro.

This year’s Summit gathered around hundred representatives from 36 members of ATA (ATA and YATA leaders).
As a second event, from 29th to 31st of May 2014 was the Fourth 2BS (To Be Secure) Forum under the title: “NATO in 21st century: New Threats and New Theaters”
The forum was officially opened by the President of Montenegro, H.E. Mr. Filip Vujanović, U.S. Ambassador to Montenegro, H.E. Amb. Sue K. Brown and the President of the Atlantic Council of Montenegro, Dr. Savo Kentera.

2BS Forum is an annual high-level conference dealing with global, transatlantic issues, as well as the issues in the South-Eastern Europe. Organizer of 2BS Forum is the Atlantic Council of Montenegro under the auspices of the Government of Montenegro, while traditional partners of the Forum are NATO and the U.S. Embassy in Podgorica.
