The NATO Advanced Research Workshop: Sustained Emergency Relief- Regionally Developed Capacities was closed on Saturday evening, 30.6.2012.

The last day was dedicated to the development of the regional capacities for emergency relief in the spirit of Smart Defence, with speakers from Macedonia, Albania, Montenegro, Serbia, Bulgaria, as well as representatives from KFOR.



After the morning panel-discussions, in the afternoon the final conclusions and recommendations were made, after which the participants continued to the city of Ohrid, where they had an opportunity to observe the joint Exercise of the Red Cross, Direction for Rescue and Protection and Firefight brigade, "Saviour 2012"

The overall opinion and the feedback from the participants was very positive, since they’ve managed to achieve successful networking with their colleagues from the region, share ideas and discuss the possibility of creating regional emergency relief capacities.
