Regional conference “UNSCR 1325 Goals – Degree of Feasibility” 14.02.2012 Print

In light of the importance of the implementation of the UNSCR 1325 and the overall global debate on the gender dimension and security, the Euro-Atlantic Council of Macedonia (EACM) joined the global discussion for the implementation of the UNSCR 1325 and measures for its effective enforcement.

Throughout the second half of 2011 EACM has been working on a project on the implementation of this important resolution in Macedonia, within NATO and UN frames as well as with some of the countries in the region such as Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Bulgaria.

The final result of the project and the research should be a report with assessment on completed efforts and recommendations for future actions. We hope that the report will serve as a warning tool to raise the awareness for the importance of this document.

EACM in cooperation with NATO PDD and Royal Norwegian Embassy is organizing one-day regional conference where the final conclusions and recommendations will be presented.

The conference will be held on 14th February 2012 in Stone Bridge Hotel, Skopje under the title UNSCR 1325 Goals – Degree of Feasibility.
